Pool Service and Maintenance in Centurion, from Our Die Hoewes Office

Centurion is home. Our office is at Block 5, Central Office Park, 257 Jean Avenue, Die Hoewes, Centurion, so when you book a weekly service, a green pool recovery or a pump repair in Centurion, you are booking a business that lives down the road rather than one driving in from the other side of Gauteng. Our routes are densest here and our delivery fees are lowest here.

This page is about Centurion specifically: the kinds of pools we find in its different suburbs, what the estates expect from contractors, the local problems that keep us busy through the year, and what our services and shop deliveries cost if you live here.

Why a Centurion-based pool company matters

Pool problems rarely wait for a convenient day. A pump that trips on Friday afternoon or a pool that turns after a weekend storm needs someone who can get there without a cross-city trip. Being based in Die Hoewes, in the middle of Centurion, means most suburbs here are a short local drive, not a highway journey.

It also keeps prices sensible. Every visit carries the cost of getting to you. Our Centurion weekly routes are the shortest we run, which is exactly why they are where we want to grow. If you are in Centurion and have been paying a company based elsewhere for the time their technician spends on the N1, it is worth comparing.

Old marbelite in Lyttelton, new builds in the estates

Centurion is not one kind of pool. The established suburbs — Lyttelton Manor, Doringkloof, Clubview, Eldoraigne, Wierdapark — have many older marbelite pools with mature gardens around them. Those pools tend to need attention to surfaces, leaf loads from big trees, older pumps and filters, and plumbing that has been in the ground for a long time. They are the pools most likely to need an acid wash, a sand change or leak detection.

The newer estates and developments — Midstream, Centurion Golf Estate, Irene Farm Villages, Cornwall Hill, Thatchfield, Amberfield, Southdowns — have younger pools with newer equipment, and often a stricter set of house rules. Here the work is more about keeping a good pool good: weekly balancing, equipment checks, and the occasional upgrade to a heat pump, salt chlorinator or robotic cleaner.

In between are the townhouse and sectional title complexes around Rooihuiskraal, Highveld, The Reeds and Monavoni, many with a shared pool. Those need a different approach again, which our commercial and body corporate page covers.

Working inside Centurion estates

Most of the big Centurion estates control contractor access. Expect to register us as a contractor with the estate, or add us to your visitor list, before the first visit. Some estates restrict the hours contractors may work, and some do not allow work on Sundays at all — which suits us, because we are closed on Sundays anyway.

Tell us your estate when you book and we will ask the right questions up front: gate procedure, whether the pump room is inside the house or outside, and where our vehicle may park. On weekly routes we visit on a regular day, which makes the gate routine simple for security and for you.

The Centurion pool year

October to March is storm season. Centurion afternoons build up, break in a thunderstorm, and leave pools full of rainwater, leaves and dust. After a big storm, chlorine is diluted, pH shifts, and algae gets a foothold within days, particularly in pools whose pumps missed hours during load-shedding. December, with families away on holiday, is the classic month for a pool to turn green.

May to August is quieter on the water and busier on the equipment. That is when we do acid washes, sand changes and repairs, and when pools that were neglected over summer get sorted out before spring. Hard municipal water leaves a white calcium line on tiles all year round; winter is the sensible time to deal with it.

Shared pools in Centurion complexes

A large part of Centurion lives in sectional title: townhouse complexes and cluster developments with one pool shared by every unit. Those pools get far more swimmers per litre than a family pool, especially on December weekends, and they tend to suffer from too many hands — a resident adding chlorine, another changing the timer, nobody quite sure who backwashed last.

For trustees and managing agents we run shared pools on a quoted schedule, with the readings from each visit kept so there is a record if a resident complains. Winter jobs like sand changes and acid washes can be planned into the budget rather than arriving as a surprise. Our commercial and body corporate page has the detail.

Your first visit, step by step

Start with a WhatsApp to 081 577 5051: your suburb or estate, a photo of the pool and one of the pump and filter. From that we can usually tell you which plan or service fits and what it costs before anyone drives anywhere.

On the first visit we test the water, look over the pump, filter, timer and any chlorinator, and tell you what we find in plain language. If something needs fixing, you get a written quote and you decide. If you have signed up for a weekly plan, we agree a regular visit day that suits your estate or household, and from then on you should only hear from us when there is something worth knowing.

Prices for Centurion homes

Our weekly maintenance plans run from R950 a month for pools up to 30,000 litres to R1,499 for large pools. Green pool recovery starts at R1,200, a once-off deep clean at R1,200, and a pump repair or service at R850 with parts extra.

Every fixed-price service is listed on its own page, with what it includes. For jobs that need inspecting first, the call-out is deducted from your quote when you accept it.

What Centurion asks us for most

Getting to you, and shop deliveries

We are already here. Die Hoewes sits beside the Ben Schoeman highway, with the N1 and N14 both close by, so most Centurion suburbs are a short local drive from our office.

Centurion gets our lowest online-shop delivery fee: R350 for addresses within 10 km of Jean Avenue by road, which covers most of the town. The outer edges — parts of Midstream, Rooihuiskraal or Raslouw, for instance — can measure into the R450 band. The checkout measures your exact address, or you can arrange to collect from us.

Pool questions from Centurion

Where exactly is Crystal Reef in Centurion?

At Block 5, Central Office Park, 257 Jean Avenue, Die Hoewes, Centurion. We are an office and online shop, not a walk-up retail counter, so WhatsApp 081 577 5051 before coming through.

Which Centurion suburbs do you service weekly?

All of them, from Eldoraigne and Wierdapark in the west to Irene and Midstream in the east, and Rooihuiskraal and Monavoni in the south.

Can you work inside Midstream or Centurion Golf Estate?

Yes. Register us with the estate as a contractor or add us to your visitor list, and tell us the gate procedure when you book.

How soon can you come out to a green pool in Centurion?

It depends on the job and the bookings we already have, so we confirm a date when you book. WhatsApp us a photo of the pool and tell us roughly how big it is, and we will tell you when we can come.

What are your office hours?

Mon–Fri 08:00–17:00 | Sat 08:00–14:00 | Closed Sundays. Messages sent after hours are read when the office opens again.
