Terms of Sale

Adding something to your cart does not reserve it. A sale is only concluded once we have received your payment and sent you an order confirmation by email. Until then, either of us may walk away without penalty.

If something is priced or described incorrectly on the site, or is unavailable after you have paid, we will tell you and refund you in full. We will not quietly substitute a different product for the one you chose.

All prices are in South African Rand and include everything you pay for the goods themselves. Delivery is shown separately at checkout before you pay — see Delivery & Collection.

Crystal Reef is not a VAT vendor. No VAT is charged and none is shown on any price, invoice or receipt.

We may change prices at any time, but never on an order you have already paid for.

Online payments are processed by PayFast. We never see or store your card details. Your order is only released for packing once PayFast confirms the payment to us.

We take no cash and no card at a counter. Every order — including one you collect in person — is paid online through PayFast, by card, Instant EFT or any other method PayFast offers.

Some items we hold in Centurion; most we order in from our suppliers. Each product page tells you which applies before you buy, and the Delivery & Collection page sets out timings and costs. Where we cannot meet a stated time we will contact you, and you may cancel for a full refund.

You have a 7-day cooling-off right under ECTA and a 6-month quality warranty under the Consumer Protection Act. Manufacturer warranties are additional and vary by product. All of this is set out in full on the Returns, Refunds & Warranties page, which forms part of these terms.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act. Where these terms and that Act conflict, the Act wins.

Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Do not attempt to interfere with the site, extract its data in bulk, or use it to break the law. We may suspend an account being used that way.

Product images, text and the Crystal Reef name belong to us or our suppliers, and may not be reproduced commercially without permission.

Specials are valid while stocks last. Limited quantities. If a special sells out after you have paid, we offer you the same or an equivalent item at the special price, or refund you in full. A closing date printed on a particular letter or advert applies to that advert.

A special price is for the item itself. Installation is quoted separately, and delivery is charged by distance from Centurion (collection is free) — the same as for any other order.

Pictures show the product as closely as we can, but the description is what you are buying. If a price is clearly wrong — a typing error, not a special — we will tell you before we pack anything, and you choose: pay the correct price, or cancel for a full refund.

Every installation or repair is quoted in writing before any work starts. Where a visit is needed to quote, the R650 call-out is deducted from your quote when you accept it.

We guarantee our workmanship — the labour and the parts we fit — for 6 months from the day the job is finished. If something we did fails in that time, we come back and put it right at no charge. This is on top of the 6-month warranty on the goods themselves and any manufacturer warranty.

The workmanship guarantee does not cover damage from lightning or power surges, work done on the installation by someone else after us, running a pump dry, or chemical misuse.

Maintenance packages are billed monthly by PayFast debit order, with the visits and price set out in your package. You may cancel at any time by giving us one calendar month’s notice by email or WhatsApp; we stop the debit order at the end of the notice month and there is no cancellation fee.

Safety and leaf covers are made to fit your pool. We measure first and quote in writing, and the cover is made once you accept and pay. Because it is made to your pool’s measurements, a made-to-measure cover cannot be returned just because you changed your mind (ECTA section 42 allows this). A fault in the cover or its fitting is covered in full — see Returns, Refunds & Warranties.

Pool chemicals are hazardous if misused. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the label, never mix chemicals, and store them out of reach of children and pets. Install and operate equipment according to its manual. We are not liable for loss or injury caused by misuse, incorrect installation, or ignoring the instructions supplied with a product.

If you find a product we sell for less, send us the quote and we will beat it. The quote must be:

• a written quote from a South African supplier;
• for the same product and model;
• in stock at that supplier;
• dated within the last 7 days;

Send it on WhatsApp (081 577 5051) or to sales@crystalreef.co.za before you pay. We confirm the beaten price in writing and it applies to that order. It does not apply to auctions, second-hand or clearance goods, or to an order that has already been paid.

Contact us first on 081 577 5051 or sales@crystalreef.co.za — most things are sorted out in a phone call. If we cannot resolve it, you may refer the matter to the National Consumer Commission or a recognised consumer-goods ombud. These terms are governed by South African law.
